Privacy Policy
Who we are
Tovicast is a service operated by DYS New Media Co., Ltd. ("Tovicast", "we"), the publisher of the Tovicast Broadcaster app. We also keep the directory of registered workspaces. A workspace is an organisation's live streaming service: it runs its own web console and streaming servers, decides how its service works, and is responsible for its own users and their data.
What the app accesses
- Camera and microphone: only while you are on a workspace console or the beauty settings screen, to show your preview and to broadcast when you choose to go live. Beauty effects are applied on your device. The workspace's web page never receives camera images or microphone audio; capture and publishing are done by the app itself.
- Workspace addresses you add or block, your acceptance of our terms, and your stream quality, language and beauty preferences. These are stored on your device only.
Your consent before going live
Every time a workspace asks to start a broadcast, the app shows its own confirmation naming the workspace and the address that will receive your stream. Nothing is sent until you tap Go live, and you can stop at any time.
Where your stream goes
When you go live, the app sends your audio and video directly to the streaming server of the workspace you are connected to. That organisation's privacy policy applies to your stream, your account, chat and any other data on its console, and it acts as an independent controller of that data. For the Tovicast demo workspace, which needs no account, each test broadcast is relayed by Tovicast in real time to a private watch link and is not recorded.
What Tovicast processes
- Workspace lookups: the workspace address you enter, to check it is registered.
- Technical logs on Tovicast servers, such as IP address, request times and error codes, kept for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
- Reports you send us by email: your email address and what you write, used only to investigate and act on the report and kept for as long as needed to do so and to meet legal obligations.
Our servers are hosted by Hetzner Online in Finland (EU).
What we do not do
No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, and no sale or sharing of personal data for advertising. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not create accounts.
Your choices and rights
- Revoke camera and microphone access in iOS Settings at any time.
- Remove or block workspaces in the app. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your device.
- Ask us for access to, or deletion of, data Tovicast holds about you by emailing privacy@tovicast.com. We reply within 30 days. For data held by a workspace, including any account you have there, contact that organisation; workspaces registered with Tovicast must let their users delete their accounts.
Children
Tovicast Broadcaster is not directed to children and is rated 16+ on the App Store. Workspaces may set a higher minimum age for their hosts.
