Terms of Service
Who provides the service
Tovicast is a service of DYS New Media Co., Ltd. ("Tovicast", "we"). By using the Tovicast Broadcaster app or a Tovicast workspace you agree to these terms; the app asks you to accept them before you connect your first workspace. For the app, these terms apply together with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
The service
We publish the free Tovicast Broadcaster app and keep a directory of registered workspaces. Workspaces are organisations that operate their own live streaming service, verify their domain and register it with Tovicast. The app itself is free and has no purchases.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
You may not use Tovicast to broadcast, display or distribute content that:
- is illegal, or promotes illegal activity;
- is sexually explicit or contains nudity;
- exploits, endangers or sexualises minors in any way;
- shows or threatens violence, or promotes self-harm;
- harasses, bullies or attacks people, including hate speech;
- is used for fraud, scams or spam;
- infringes others' rights, including unauthorised rebroadcasting; or
- reveals other people's private information without their consent.
There is no tolerance for this content or for abusive users. Breaking these rules leads to the stream being stopped and the user being removed.
Reporting and blocking
- Report: in the app, open a workspace's ··· menu (or the menu next to it in your workspace list) and choose Report workspace, or go to Settings › Report a problem. You can also email abuse@tovicast.com.
- Block: choose Block workspace in the same menus. A blocked workspace is removed from the app and cannot be added again until you unblock it in Settings.
- Our response: we review every report and act within 24 hours, by stopping the stream, having the workspace remove the content and the user responsible, and suspending workspaces that do not comply.
Workspace obligations
Each workspace is responsible for its own users, accounts, content and compliance, and must:
- enforce standards at least as strict as the ones above, and filter objectionable material from its service;
- give its users a way to report content and to block abusive users, and act on reports within 24 hours by removing the content and the user responsible;
- publish its own contact details and privacy policy, and let its users delete their accounts;
- not sell digital goods or services, or link to purchases, inside the app; and
- keep its console, as shown in the app, in line with the App Store Review Guidelines.
Enforcement
We may stop streams, suspend or remove workspaces, or refuse service where these terms or the law are breached.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Tovicast is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
